Context

Yugo is a global provider of purpose-built student accommodation, operating across the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Australia. Its spaces are designed to provide more than accommodation, creating communities where students can live, learn and grow.

Rapid expansion through acquisitions and new developments has positioned Yugo as one of the fastest-growing brands in the sector.

However, this growth created increasing complexity within the organisation’s digital ecosystem. Multiple websites across brands, regions and technology platforms made it difficult to maintain consistent digital experiences while supporting local market needs.

At the same time, digital platforms are evolving. Websites are no longer simply destinations for human visitors. They are increasingly knowledge sources for search engines, recommendation systems and AI assistants that help students and families discover accommodation options.

As part of an ongoing transformation programme delivered on a retained basis, Renegade works with Yugo to evolve its digital platform and web estate, creating a scalable foundation for global growth and AI-era digital engagement.

Outcome

Yugo operates with a scalable global digital platform designed to support continued expansion and evolving digital engagement models.

New brands, properties and markets can be integrated quickly while maintaining consistent standards across the web estate.

This transformation provides:

A unified global website ecosystem

Structured content supporting scalable digital services

Centralised governance with local market flexibility

Data-driven digital experiences for students and families

Most importantly, the platform establishes a future-ready foundation for AI-mediated discovery and digital services, ensuring Yugo’s expertise and offerings can be surfaced clearly as new technologies reshape how students research and choose accommodation.
